Taylor Aviation Internship

Internship position available at Taylor Aviation Inc. Intern will work with Taylor Aviation Agronomists and chemical representatives from Helena Chemical, Crop Production Services, Monsanto, DOW, BASF, Syngenta, Bayer and Valent. Intern will learn to load aircraft, learn chemical mixing ratios, inventory control and more. Experience will include hazardous material safety training and forklift operator certification. North 40 Ag Internship

North 40 Ag works with farmers and ranchers to improve their operations, not only focusing on productivity and their bottom line, but thinking outside the box to improve their resiliency by emphasizing soil regeneration. Interns will be exposed to all facets of the business. Duties include: regular field inspections, monitoring and diagnosing weed, disease and pest issues, making fertilizer, chemical and seed recommendations, determining cover crop biomass, designing grazing systems, monitoring soil moisture, creating irrigation schedules, taking soil samples, generating reports, generating custom cover crop seed mixtures and more. The qualified applicant will be proficient with Microsoft Office, demonstrate effective communication skills, show self-confidenc lift 50lbs me and the ability to make decisions, work independently and with teams, demonstrate ability to work outside multiple times a day, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.

Sitz Angus Summer Internships

Sitz Angus Summer Ranch Internship: The ranch internship will provide an opportunity to work with a progressive livestock operation at multiple ranches in Southwest Montana. This position requires a willingness to work with other ranch interns and managers in a complete unit. Long term interest in ranch management is preferred. This paid internship is an excellent opportunity for students to receive hands-on training in ranching and ranch management. Housing and utilities are provided. Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at a college or university to be considered.

Interns may be involved with feedlot/yard operations, heifer development, maternal herd management, terminal herd management, and summer calving herd management. Interns may also assist with electronic identification, artificial insemination and records management. All interns will receive an introduction to range management and ranch financial management. In addition, interns will be expected to do seasonal tasks, such as pivot irrigating and meadow haying operations in the summer. 

Sitz Angus Summer Farm Internship: The farm internship will provide an opportunity to work with a progressive agricultural operation. This position requires a willingness to work with other interns and managers in a complete unit. Long-term interest in farm or ranch management is preferred. This paid internship is an excellent opportunity for students to receive hands-on training in farming and farm management. Housing and utilities are provided for this internship opportunity in Southwest Montana. Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at a college or university to be considered. 

Interns may be involved with seasonal tasks, including planting, cultivating, pivot irrigation, and haying operations. Interns may also get exposure to crop scouting. All interns will receive an introduction to farm management and farm financial management.

White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) Internship Program, Washington, DC

Serving as an OSTP Intern provides a unique opportunity to work closely with senior White House officials and science and technology (S&T) policy analysts in OSTP's topic-based divisions (Division internship), or on OSTP's legal team (Legal internship). Applicants are encouraged to apply for one of three terms (Fall, Spring, or Summer), each term lasting no more than 90 days. Be Remarkable, Make a Difference! Join the Natural Resources Conservation Service team and help us conserve our nation's Natural Resources! The Pathways Student Intern Program provides interns with exposure to public service, enhances educational experience and provides financial support to encourage and support educational goals. The program is formally structured to give interns the opportunity to work in positions related to their academic/career goals. Students will work full-time in the summer. Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Internships

The ORISE has several research projects available at the U.S. EPA. These projects provide opportunities to participate in ongoing research activities at various EPA offices and locations. Yerba Buena Farm Beekeeping & Essential Oil Distillation Internships, Jamaica

A family farm, located on the north coast of Jamaica, the Farm's mission is to take part in and promote economically and environmentally sustainable agriculture. Interns work on a variety of projects involving top bar beekeeping, building and managing colonies, planning and leading workshops and more. McNair Scholars Program, MSU

The McNair Scholars Program at MSU is funded by the Department of Education to serve the needs of 25 undergraduate students annually from ALL majors who are either first-generation/low-income or minorities traditionally underrepresented in graduate schools. With the end goal of increasing the number of McNair students receiving doctoral degrees and entering the professoriate. The program provides a stipend for two consecutive summers while conducting original summer undergraduate research under the guidance of a faculty mentor in ANY discipline/major and more.
