Internal Mini-Grant Program
Due Date: Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 5 p.m. MST
Funding period: 1 Jan 2023 – 30 Dec 2023
The Montana State University College of Agriculture has funds available to support capacity-building research aligned with our strategic goals. These funds are intended to support new investigators, interdisciplinary exploratory research, cross-department collaborations and to encourage collaborations between on-campus faculty and Research Centers to address agriculture and natural resource related challenges in Montana through research.
COA Pitch Competition
Due Date: Monday, January 2, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. MST
The College of Agriculture and the Montana Agricultural Experiment Station will host a research pitch competition open to all College faculty at the all-faculty meeting on 11 January 2023. There will be two $10,000 awards. Come with your idea for a $10 million grant to your agency of choice: USDA, NSF, or NIH. Submit an abstract, objectives, and a list of potential funding sources via InfoReady.
Internal Teaching & Equipment Grant Program

Funding period: 1 Jan 2024 – 30 Dec 2024
COA/MAES is pleased to announce an equipment RFP for each component of our operations. The College of Agriculture has set aside $100,000 for instructional equipment and the Montana Agricultural Experiment Station has set aside $400,000 forresearch equipment. In order to maximize equipment needed for the summer, we will work with awardees to ensure these needs are met with FY22 funding. The funding will be for FY22 only, so equipment must be ordered by 1 June, 2022. We look forward to our internal applications.
